Filling we provide all types of restorative filling materials at HSDH ranging from white composite fillings, ceramic Inlays & Onlays to silver fillings. Composites have been used for many years however their chemical make-up has changed and improved exponentially. composites has become widely accepted by dentists and the indications for their use are more numerous. They are being used to close undesirable spaces, improve the shape, size and color of a tooth, replace an unsightly amalgam restoration, cover abraded or worn areas of a tooth (usually at the gum line) and to cover stains. Composites can also be used to protect thermally sensitive areas and to repair and strengthen broken teeth.
Crown is a type of dental restoration which completely caps or encircles a tooth or dental implant. Crowns are often needed when a large cavity threatens the ongoing health of a tooth. They are typically bonded to the tooth using a dental cement. Crowns can be made from many materials, which are usually fabricated using indirect methods. Crowns are often used to improve the strength or appearance of teeth, and protect root canal treated teeth from fracture.
Bridge is also known as a fixed partial denture, which is a dental restoration used to replace a missing tooth by joining permanently to adjacent teeth or dental implants. Types of bridges may vary, depending upon how they are fabricated and the way they anchor to the adjacent teeth. A bridge is fabricated by reducing the teeth on either side of the missing tooth or teeth by a preparation pattern determined by the location of the teeth and by the material from which the bridge is fabricated. The materials used for the bridges include gold, porcelain fused to metal, or in the correct situation porcelain alone. Your dentist will assess and decide the best option of treatment and bridge design that suits you to replace the missing teeth.
Denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth and surrounding tissues. Two types of dentures are available -- complete and partial dentures. Complete dentures are used when all the teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain. At HSDH we can provide you with the most comfortable dentures that you can wear confidently.
